Becky has unfortunately sustained a shoulder injury

It means for a trial period of 2 months covering March and April 2026 that Becky has to reduce total hours worked and specifically the hours doing brushing which covers Wash/dry/ brush out and Deshed style appointments. Clients will be able to book these as usual under Tom.

Becky will be available for clipping and will assist Tom where necessary for Deshed grooms and if clients require this for specific reasons.

The only way to for Becky to avoid significant long-term damage and face potentially giving up grooming completely is to modify in the short term the tasks Becky undertakes.

What it means for online booing is that for the next two months the system will only offer Becky as a groomer option for clipping appointments.
If you do wish Becky to be involved with your groom, please contact Becky at the time the booking.

ARCTIC BREEDS
Arctic Breeds have very thick fur which requires regular deshedding to help with the tumbleweeds around the house caused by slow release of loose undercoat and the prevention of matting on the dog.
We absolutely adore big dogs and have a specialist deshed system that not only gets through the fur to the skin to ensure the dogs are being cleaned fully, but it quickly and painlessly allows the loose undercoat to come free in the bath and during the drying process. Our products help release the hair follicle and the undercoat comes away. We literally look like it has snowed after grooming!

How Long to Book For?
A small Husky can be completed in 1.5 hours if it has been regularly groomed, but most require 2 hours to complete.
Larger Arctic Breeds, especially those whose fur is very thick with clumps of matted debris, sand and so on are likely to require 2.5 - 3 hours to complete the groom. On the larger end, a Malamute can require up to 4 if they are larger, matted or un-used to being groomed.
