Poodle Grooming

Please let us know if you wish to have styled poodle grooming. It is very helpful for you to send us an image of what you require and a detailed description in support of this. The options are many and varied. The details of effects such as pom poms can vary enormously in size, shape and location. Your interpretation and requirements taken from photos of other sized and shaped dogs may not translate easily to the size or placement in your specific dog.

Style points to consider:

Feet - Poodle feet or tapered feet same as fur on legs.
Ears - Full and long or shaped/blended in layers.
Head - size and shape in relation to clip length on body.
Pom poms - location, height and shape.
Body- uniform clip all over or not.
Tail - full, tapered fan shape or short with shaped end piece.

Basic styling

This guide is for clients who want a basic clip off but the head/face clipping and styling ONLY. For this choice the average weight-based style and clip groom options can be used to help guide grooming choice.

Detailed styling

For clients who may wish head and face styling plus tail shaping and the body washing/drying fully in order to shape all over to a longer length then extra time must be added over and above the standard weight-based clip and style groom guide.

Please add a minimum of 30-45 minutes to the groom as an approximation of the extra time required to complete this option over and above that described in the guide under clip and style that goes by weight.

Extra Detailed Styling

Poodle styles requiring Head, Face, Feet and body as per the Basic and detailed styling options BUT WITH THE ADDITION OF Pom Poms of any size or poodle feet or body styling over and above the single length style in other grooming options.

Please add a minimum of 60-90 minutes to the groom over and above the weight based guide to clipping and styling options as an approximation of the extra time required to complete this option.
